This started life as a CYMA CM041 MP5A4 with the railed hand guard that I picked up on the cheap from ASGI last month. I had to cut the outer barrel in order to fit the kit, but apart from that, it was a pretty straight-forward build.
The parts:
Airsoft Extreme 'Hammerfish' Kit (a clone of the Laylax Swordfish kit)
Matrix Magnum 3000 motor
Guarder M120 irregular pitch spring
Hurricane reinforced tappet plate
SHS plastic delay chip
SHS 16:1 gears
Madbull 6.01 x 247mm TBB
Systema bucking
Echo-1 H nub (Prommy hop-up bridge coming)
Extreme Fire non-AB MOSFET (cannibalized from another gun)
Leapers 1.25-4x32 illuminated scope
shorty fore-grip
green laser
UTG Xenon flashlight w/red filter
Several parts have been painted. It's a little hard to tell from the pics, but I gave the side covers a bronze-ish coloring, similar to Batman's utility belt in Batman Begins. They've also been 'weathered' with black paint to simulate carbon scoring. The outer barrel was repainted a dark gunmetal gray and dusted with 'smoke' to darken it some more. The ejection port cover was stripped treated with cold chemical bluing, as was the outside of the stock brass cylinder. Something that I've yet to do is grind down the selector switch on the right side since I like a relatively high grip, and right now the switch pokes right into my hand when set to full auto. I may grind down both sides.
So overall, I am very happy with how this gun functions, and as you'll be able to see from the pictures, there is a massive difference in performance from stock as well. Out to about 120-130 feet, it has an extremely flat trajectory with surprisingly tight groupings for such a short IB.
